Position Overview:

We are looking for a talented and experienced Python lead developer to join our growing team. As a lead developer, you’ll play a pivotal role in building and maintaining high-quality, scalable web applications that support our mission of revolutionizing education.  You’ll not only excel in Python development but also demonstrate strong leadership qualities to guide and mentor junior developers.

What will your day look like:

• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and other developers to translate project requirements into robust and user-friendly web applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code using Python and frameworks like Django or Flask.
• Design, develop, and implement complex features and functionalities utilizing RESTful APIs and web services.
• Conduct code reviews, identify and address potential issues, and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Python and web development best practices, and share knowledge with the team.
• Lead and mentor junior developers by providing guidance, coaching, and opportunities for growth, fostering a positive and collaborative learning environment.
• Participate in technical discussions, identify and propose solutions to complex challenges.
• Manage development timelines, estimate project scope, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

We’re looking for someone with:

• 6+ years of experience as a Python developer or in a similar role.
• Solid understanding of Python programming principles and best practices.
• Experience with web development frameworks like Django or Flask.
• Proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing RESTful APIs and web services.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for crafting elegant and efficient solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring junior developers.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, and Azure) is highly preferred.
• Ability to manage workloads, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• A strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
